Lunar New Year

Celebrate Chinese New Year with Trojan Ltd. | The Global Tyre Company.

Chinese New Year, also referred to as the spring festival, or the Lunar New Year, is a basic Chinese Tradition. The celebrations begin during the last night of the previous year and last till the 15th of the first calendar month. The Chinese New Year's primary day falls on the new moon, between January 21st and Feb 20th. Trojan Ltd., as one of the leading bulk tyre exporters and merchants of well-known brands like Onyx, Ovation, Doublecoin, Deruibo, Roadwing and Cachland participated in this festival.

The festival is of high importance due to the myths and customs associated with it. It has, traditionally, become a significant event for deities and ancestors to be honored. Each Chinese New Year is characterized by one of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Along with Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mauritius, Australia, and the Philippines, it is well known in other Asian countries and territories.

Regional customs and traditions regarding the Lunar New Year celebration vary widely in China. As it is a major tradition, the previous Lunar New Year's last Day's evening is an opportunity for Chinese households to gather for an annual reunion dinner. It is also conventional for families to clean the residence thoroughly, sweeping away any ill-fortune, and make ways for success. Windows and entryways are decorated with dark red hue paper-cuts, paired with important points of fortune, joy, and wealth. Other sports include; firecrackers, lighting fixtures and giving money in pink paper envelopes. Trojan Ltd. keeps the tradition alive by decorating its head office and all branches around the world.
